Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that deserves a little more attention, if you ask me. It tends to get squeezed somewhere between Halloween and Christmas, but I love that little stretch of November when everything is still warm, cozy and covered in pumpkins before the Christmas decorations officially take over.
So naturally, our phones are getting in on it too.
I put together a collection of free Thanksgiving phone wallpapers filled with cozy colors, cute seasonal details and plenty of Thanksgiving charm. Whether you want something obviously festive or just a pretty November background, there’s a little bit of everything in here.
Save your favorite, or grab a few and switch them out throughout the month!
Free Thanksgiving Phone Wallpapers
All of the Thanksgiving wallpapers below are free for personal use. They’re designed as vertical phone backgrounds and can be used on both iPhone and Android devices.
To use one, simply save the full-size image to your phone and set it as your home screen or lock screen. Depending on your phone model, you may need to reposition or slightly crop the image when you set it.
Okay, let’s get into the cute stuff. 🦃🍂🥧
Pumpkin Pie & Autumn Leaves Wallpaper
This one is basically Thanksgiving dessert for your screen. Pumpkin pie slices topped with whipped cream are scattered between autumn leaves, cinnamon sticks and little star anise on a soft cream background. It’s warm, cozy and just a little bit making-me-hungry. 😂
Brown Gingham Wallpaper
If you like your holiday style simple and cozy, this one is for you. The warm brown gingham feels like a Thanksgiving picnic blanket, and it’s a great backdrop if your home screen is packed with app icons.
Crunchy Fall Leaves Wallpaper
Sometimes you just want a real-life fall moment on your phone. This close-up of crunchy orange and rust-colored leaves has every shade of autumn in it and gives off major “walking outside with a hot drink” energy.
Thankful Wallpaper
Soft, simple and a little more minimal. It’s a rich chocolate brown background with the word thankful in delicate cream script right in the middle of your screen. A pretty little reminder every time you pick up your phone.
Pumpkins, Bows & Berries Wallpaper
This is the cutest one for my fellow bow lovers. Soft blush pink with little cream and orange pumpkins, satin bows, red berries and autumn leaves. Thanksgiving, but make it girly.
Little Acorns Wallpaper
Tiny acorns and little oak leaves scattered across a soft cream background. It’s quiet and sweet, and the small pattern is perfect if you want something festive that won’t compete with your widgets.
Vintage Turkey Toile Wallpaper
Okay, this one feels like a fancy Thanksgiving table. It’s a rich chocolate brown with a vintage toile design of turkeys, pumpkins, trees and little farmhouse scenes in creamy tan. A little moody, a little classic and honestly so pretty.
Mini Turkeys & Pumpkins Wallpaper
Think of this as the lighter, sweeter cousin of the turkey toile. Little vintage-style turkeys strut across a warm cream background with mini pumpkins, berries and autumn leaves scattered in between.
Give Thanks Pumpkin Pie Wallpaper
Pumpkin pie again, but this time with a message. Slices of pie and little autumn leaves frame the words give thanks in pretty script with a tiny heart underneath. Cozy and meaningful, with dessert.
Harvest Toile Wallpaper
For anyone who wants the cozy feelings of the holiday, this Thanksgiving phone wallpaper has it all. Caramel-colored drawings of turkeys, pumpkins, acorns, lattice-top pies and a countryside farmhouse sit on a creamy background. Detailed and old-fashioned in the best way.
Give Thanks Maple Leaves Wallpaper
A warm tan background with give thanks in cream script and a few tiny orange maple leaves floating next to it. Simple, soft and perfect when you want a little Thanksgiving without a busy pattern.
Simple Pumpkin Pie Wallpaper
If you like a clean lock screen, this one’s for you. A single slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream and a couple of autumn leaves sits at the very bottom of a soft cream background, leaving plenty of room for your clock and widgets. Minimal, but still festive.
How to Save a Thanksgiving Wallpaper to Your Phone
Find the Thanksgiving background you want to use and either right click if you’re on a computer or press and hold the image if you’re on mobile. Save the image to your camera roll, then head to your phone’s wallpaper settings and select it as your lock screen, home screen or both.
Because phone screen dimensions vary, your device may automatically zoom or crop the wallpaper slightly. You can usually reposition it while setting your background to get the part of the design you like exactly where you want it.
And please don’t feel like you have to commit to one for the entire month. 😂 Save a few favorites and switch them out whenever you feel like it.
More Free Seasonal Phone Wallpapers
At this point, we officially have a little seasonal wallpaper collection going around here, and I’m not mad about it.
If you’re decorating your phone for the entire fall season, start with my free fall phone wallpapers for cozy coffee, pumpkins, apples, bows, autumn leaves and all the fall things.
Then, when spooky season rolls around, I have a whole collection of cute Halloween phone wallpapers with ghosts, bats, pumpkins, bows, candy and plenty of spooky-cute designs.
And don’t worry, I’m not stopping at Thanksgiving. Christmas is right around the corner, which means my phone will obviously need a festive little makeover for that too, so keep an eye out for my Christmas wallpapers coming soon. 🎄
Save Your Favorite Thanksgiving Wallpaper
I know changing your phone wallpaper is such a tiny thing, but I swear these are the little things that make the holidays feel more fun.
Especially when we’re already looking at our phones approximately 700 times a day anyway. We might as well make them cute. 😂
I hope you find a Thanksgiving wallpaper in this collection that makes you smile every time you pick up your phone.
Save your favorites, send this post to someone who loves all things cozy and festive, and check back because I’ll be adding even more free phone wallpapers to Capsule of Sunshine throughout the year. ☀️
