I’m officially in my make everything cute for Halloween era. 👻
After putting together my collection of fall phone wallpapers, I knew I had to make a Halloween version too, and apparently I have very strong opinions about how cute a tiny ghost can be. 😂
So I created 12 cute Halloween phone wallpapers that you can save and use for free! I wanted this collection to feel more spooky-cute than actually spooky, with lots of little ghosts, bats, pumpkins, bows, stars and other Halloween details.
There’s also a mix of styles throughout the collection, from girly pink Halloween backgrounds to darker, moodier designs and simple patterns that won’t make your home screen feel too busy.

Free Halloween Phone Wallpapers
All of the Halloween wallpapers below are free for personal use. They’re designed as vertical phone backgrounds and can be used on both iPhone and Android devices.
To use one, simply save the full-size image to your phone and set it as your home screen or lock screen. Depending on your phone model, you may need to reposition or slightly crop the image when you set it.

Spooky Cute Halloween Wallpaper
We’re starting with a little bit of everything.
This cute Halloween wallpaper combines little ghosts, jack-o’-lanterns, black cats, bats, pink bows, moons and stars for a Halloween background that’s festive without being scary.
The pink details make this one especially cute if you love the whole girly Halloween aesthetic.
Purple Bats and Ghosts Halloween Wallpaper
For something a little closer to classic Halloween colors, this one pairs a soft purple background with black bats, white ghosts, orange pumpkins and tiny sparkles.
It still feels cute and whimsical, but the purple, orange and black color palette gives it a completely different look from the pink Halloween designs.

Okay, I think the tiny ghosties might be some of my favorites. 🥹

How to Save a Halloween Wallpaper to Your Phone
Find the Halloween background you want to use and either right click if you’re on a computer or press and hold down the image you want if you’re on mobile. Save the image to your camera roll, then head to your phone’s wallpaper settings and select it as your lock screen, home screen or both.
Because phone screen dimensions vary, your device may automatically zoom or crop the wallpaper slightly. You can usually reposition it while setting your background to get the part of the design you like exactly where you want it.
And obviously you don’t have to pick just one. It’s spooky season. Change your wallpaper every three days if that’s what makes you happy. 😂
