Finding gifts for baby girls sounds easy until you actually start looking. There are so many adorable baby things out there, but I always want a gift to be more than just cute. I want it to be something she’ll actually use, play with, wear or grow into.
Whether you’re shopping for a baby shower, first Christmas, birthday or just want to spoil a new little girl in your life, I rounded up some of my favorite gifts for baby girls below.
You’ll find a mix of toys, books, keepsakes, practical baby essentials and a few things that are simply too sweet to pass up. I also tried to include ideas that work throughout baby’s first year, so there are options for tiny newborns as well as babies who are starting to sit, crawl, explore and play.

The Best Gifts for Baby Girls
There are a few things I look for when choosing gifts for babies. I love toys that encourage them to explore and learn as they grow, books that can become part of their little library, and practical things that parents will actually reach for again and again.
And yes, sometimes the answer is simply something ridiculously cute. 😂
Here are my favorite baby girl gift ideas and why I think they’re worth adding to your list.
Ballerina Doll
This beautiful ballerina feels more like a keepsake than your average stuffed toy. I love it for a nursery shelf when she’s tiny, and then it can become something she actually plays with and carries around as she gets older.
Muslin Swaddle Blankets
You can never really have too many muslin blankets with a baby around. They’re lightweight, easy to toss in the diaper bag and useful for everything from swaddling and stroller rides to nursing or cleaning up the inevitable mess. I especially love the soft, muted prints in this set for a baby girl gift.
Goose Crib Mobile
This sweet little goose mobile is one of those gifts that’s just as much for the nursery as it is for baby. The soft neutral colors and handmade look make it feel special without being overly themed, and I love that it could work with so many different nursery styles.
Our Very Little Library
Books are one of my favorite gifts for babies because they’re something families can enjoy long after the newborn stage. This little boxed board book set is especially giftable and would make such a cute addition to a baby’s first bookshelf.
Silicone Suction Spinners
These are the kind of little toys parents end up being very grateful to have. The suction cups make them easy to stick to a high chair, activity table or other smooth surface, giving baby something to spin and explore while those little hands stay busy.
Ms. Rachel Surprise Learning Box
If Ms. Rachel is already a familiar face in the house, this one is such a fun pick. The soft activity cube has different things for baby to discover and interact with, making it a gift that’s cute but still encourages plenty of hands-on play.
Blush Toy Phone Teether
Babies somehow always want the thing you’re holding, so giving them their own little “phone” feels appropriate. 😂 This blush toy phone has simple buttons for little fingers to push and is compact enough to throw into a diaper bag for an easy on-the-go toy.
Silicone Stacking Rings
A stacking toy is such a classic for a reason. These soft silicone rings give babies something they can grasp, stack and explore as they grow, and I love the muted colors enough that I wouldn’t mind seeing this one sitting out in the living room.
Pink Goose Baby Blanket
This feels like one of the more traditional baby gifts in the guide, in the best way. The soft pink knit, scalloped edge and tiny embroidered goose make it feel special enough to give on its own while still being something parents can actually use.
You’re My Little Sunshine Board Book
I couldn’t resist this one for obvious Capsule of Sunshine reasons. ☀️ Beyond the name, it’s a sweet little board book to add to baby’s collection and the kind of book that works beautifully tucked into a larger baby shower or first birthday gift.
Ms. Rachel Huggable Lovey
Part stuffed character and part security blanket, this Ms. Rachel lovey is especially cute for a baby who’s starting to recognize her from the show. It’s soft, cuddly and easy for little hands to hold onto.
Silicone Baby Teethers
Teethers aren’t necessarily the glamorous baby gift, but they’re one of those practical things parents are very happy to have once teething starts. This little set is easy for small hands to hold and cute enough to pair with a book or blanket if you’re putting together a larger gift.
Scalloped Storage Baskets
A gift for baby that secretly helps Mom organize all of baby’s stuff? I’m counting it. 😂 These scalloped baskets are adorable for storing toys, books, blankets or all of those tiny baby things that somehow end up everywhere. They’re also pretty enough to leave out in a nursery or playroom.
Silly Goose Stuffed Animal
I mean… look at him. 😂 Sometimes a gift doesn’t need to teach the alphabet or develop fine motor skills. This oversized floppy goose is just ridiculously cute and would be adorable sitting in a nursery until baby is big enough to love on him.
Baby Girl Bow Headbands
Is there anything cuter than a baby in a tiny bow? This set gives you plenty of soft colors and prints to coordinate with different outfits, making it an easy little gift for parents who love dressing up their baby girl.
Flora and the Flamingo Book
This is such a pretty book to give as a gift. The illustrations make it feel a little more special than an everyday board book, and it’s one that can stay in her collection as she grows rather than being immediately outgrown.
Soft Baby Doll
A soft doll is such a sweet first-doll option because there aren’t hard plastic pieces or a million accessories to keep track of. This floral one is especially cute for cuddling, pretend play and eventually carrying absolutely everywhere. 😂
Daisy Rattle & Teether
I love little gifts like this for younger babies because they don’t take up much space but can get plenty of use. The flower shape is adorable for a baby girl, while the soft design gives her something easy to grasp and explore.
Baby Socks
Baby socks are one of those practical little gifts that parents can always use, but this set is cute enough to actually feel giftable. The soft colors and sweet little details make them perfect for pairing with a book, blanket or another smaller gift if you’re putting together a baby shower basket.
