If you’ve stumbled upon the “about me” section on my blog, you’ll notice I refer to myself as a nap time blogger. But what does that mean, really? In this chaotic season of motherhood, the only time that I truly have to myself is when my child is sleeping. And that is okay! There will never be a time that my son needs me more, so I try to cherish this short season of my life for what it is. Naturally, of course I would choose to start a blog when I had a newborn (note the sarcasm), because that’s just how I roll! The irony was not lost on me. Armed with a sense of humor and a rebellious spirit against the mundane, I embarked on this blogging journey amidst the diaper changes and q 2 hour feedings. Most things I do seem to be a little bit backwards and against the norm. But again, that’s okay! Normal is boring anyway. Finding Time to Blog as a New Mom Creating is my special haven, a place where I find solace and connection. Life’s experiences have molded me into a multitasking maestro, but blogging requires a unique focus. It has…

Hello Lovelies!! I hope 2024 has been good to you so far! As the calendar turns and a new year begins, it’s natural to contemplate the changes and improvements we’d like to make in our lives. I’ve never been big on New Year’s resolutions only because I believe you can decide to make a change at any time. However, with the start of a new year comes the feeling of a fresh start. I understand why people decide to create resolutions during this time. With that being said, I took some time to reflect back on 2023 and think about what I would like to change and improve in 2024. And I’m going to share these thoughts with you! Here are 5 things I’d like to focus on in 2024: Be more organized Having a baby brings with it a lot of STUFF. Baby gear seems to multiply overnight—furniture, clothes, and toys with 100 pieces — creating chaos. This year, I’m committed to streamlining our space and finding systems that work. I’m starting with one area at a time so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. I recently ordered these pantry organizers and glass storage containers for our pantry because that felt…

Happy Monday, and hello January! I can’t believe a new year has begun. The Holiday Season feels like it came and went with a quickness! Looking back at these photos, it doesn’t feel real that this happened 5 years ago. This October will be our 6th Wedding Anniversary! It’s crazy how fast time flies sometimes. As promised from my original wedding photos post, here are our bridal party details! You’ll notice we did something a little unconventional. Our friend Arina knew Jerry for years before I ever came into the picture, so we wanted her to stand by Jerry’s side in the wedding. She became a groomswoman, and we loved every bit of it! If you’re a bride who has a close male friend or a groom with a close female friend and you really want them to be on your side of the bridal party, then I urge you to go for it!! Don’t worry about how it will “look” or what others may have to say about it. It was a HUGE hit at our wedding and looking back at these photos always brings me so much joy! Our photographer Sarah Ormiston did such a fantastic job of…

I’m so excited to finally give this post a little update and share more from one of the best days of my life, our wedding day! Also known as our Alanis Fiesta 💃🏼🕺🏻 Our rustic Miami wedding was everything we hoped it would be, and looking back through these photos still makes me so happy. Jerry and I got married at Redland Farm Life in Miami, and looking back through these photos still brings me right back to that day. We wanted our wedding to feel intimate and romantic, with a rustic setting, lots of greenery and flowers, and little details that felt like us. Our photographer, Sarah Ormiston, was absolutely AMAZING and I’m still so glad she was the one to capture our day. She was such a calm presence in the middle of all the wedding day chaos, not to mention one of the sweetest people ever. Jerry and I will cherish these photos forever, and I’m so thankful to have all of these moments to look back on. There are way too many photos from our wedding to fit into one post, so I’m sharing some of my favorites here and breaking a few of the details into their…
